Generate heat in an environmentally friendly way - sewage sludge mono-incineration plant in Hanover
Regular operation of the plant is scheduled to start as early as the turn of the year 2022/2023. The plant will thermally treat approx. 130,000 tons of dewatered municipal sewage sludge (approx. 30,000 tons dry matter) annually.
sludge2energy GmbH as general contractor is responsible for the lot Process Engineering. Already during the engineering and construction of the plant, the highest priority is given to the overall energy efficiency of the plant, with which the customer enercity demonstrates a future-proof disposal method for sewage sludge with the possibility of legally required phosphorus recovery. In addition, the plant contributes to the supply for the regional district heating network through the heat recovered in the process chain.
The main process engineering components of the plant are - besides a flue gas cleaning system to ensure compliance with the permissible emission limits - two HUBER Disc Dryer RotaDry® units and the S2E Fluidizer, a stationary fluidized bed furnace with a fuel heat capacity of approx. 10.5 MW.
